Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who provides the Service

The Service is provided by 프로젝트팀포유 (Project Team For You), represented by 이유상, business registration number 495-25-02209, 1166-68 Yebong-ro, Sangun-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea. Contact: [email protected].

3. The Service

Personal Device Bridge lets you pair your own devices and exchange files, clipboard text, links and similar content directly between them, encrypted end to end. It is local-first software: no account is required, and your content is not transmitted to or stored by us.

The Service is currently a developer preview. Features described on the Website as “Coming soon”, “Planned” or “Roadmap” are not available, may change and may never be released. We do not promise any release date.

4. Preview software

Preview versions may contain bugs, may change without notice and may not be compatible with later versions. Keep backups of important data and do not rely on the preview where failure could cause serious harm.

5. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control. If the App or parts of it are distributed under a separate licence, such as an open-source licence, that licence governs those parts and takes precedence over this section.

6. Your responsibilities

• Pair only devices that you own or are authorised to use, and approve a connection only when the 6-digit codes match.
• Keep your devices and operating systems secure, and promptly remove lost, sold or compromised devices from your trusted devices.
• You are responsible for the content you transfer and for having the right to transfer it.
• Comply with applicable laws and with the rules of the networks you use.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use the Service to:

• access other people’s devices or data without permission, or to monitor, track or stalk anyone;
• distribute malware or unlawful content, or infringe the rights of others;
• disrupt or attack the Service, the Website or other users, except for good-faith security research that you report to us responsibly;
• circumvent the Service’s security measures or breach an applicable licence, except where the law expressly permits it.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you transfer. Because content travels directly between your devices, we do not access, monitor or store it, and we receive no licence to it.

9. Intellectual property

The Personal Device Bridge name, logo, Website design and texts are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by these Terms or by a licence that applies to the App, you may not use them without our prior written consent.

10. Third-party services

The Service runs on operating systems, networks and hardware provided by third parties that we do not control. Links on the Website, including share buttons, lead to third-party services whose own terms and privacy policies apply.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. Limitation of liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, loss of data or loss of profit arising from the free Service. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

13. Changes, suspension and termination

We may change or discontinue the Service or these Terms. We will announce changes to these Terms on the Website at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavourable to you. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, the updated Terms apply. You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. We may temporarily restrict access to the Website where necessary for security or legal reasons.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and may bring claims before its courts where the law allows.
